TRavel & Stay

Getting to and around Teton Valley

Teton Valley is  ~ 1-hour drive from two airports: Jackson Hole Airport & Idaho Falls Regional Airport. Public transportation is bleak out here. It’s best to have a vehicle. You can rent a car from either airport. Please consider carpooling!

Lodging tips

There are plenty of hotels/motels and airbnb/vrbo rentals in the area, but they can book up quickly in the summer months. Be sure to check both airbnb and VRBO, as some hosts only list on one site. Where to look:

  • Driggs, Alta, or Tetonia are within a 10- to 15-minute drive from the ceremony and reception.

  • Victor is a lovely town and a good option if you don’t mind a slightly further drive (20- to 30-minutes). This will keep you closer to the welcome party.

  • If you're looking to rough it, you can consider dispersed camping in Teton Canyon. This would be about 15-20 minutes away from the festivities.

A few of our favorite things to do in teton valley

Hikes, Bikes and Views:

  • Lots of great hiking trails starting within Teton Canyon of various difficulty: Mill Creek, Sheep's Bridge, Table Mountain,

  • Mountain bike rides: Harris Creek Trails, Grand Targhee, Horseshoe Road

  • Take a scenic ride up the chairlift at Grand Targhee for ridiculous views of the Tetons

  • Float the Teton River!

Eat!

  • Driggs: Citizen 33 Brewery, Tatanka Tavern, Alpino, Provisions (breakfast), La Conchita Bakery (breakfast), Wydaho (coffee and pastries)

  • Victor: The Knotty Pine, The Mess Hall, Guidepost Brewery, Pinky G's Pizzeria

FAQ

What to wear

We are keeping it fairly casual

July can be hot and windy and the nights can still get chilly, bring layers for the evening. Bring your caps and shades. The festivities will mostly be outside in our yard with some variable terrain, so keep that in mind regarding footwear

Registry

Your presence at our wedding is truly all we could ever ask for! We are so grateful to all of you for traveling to this random and expensive little place we now call home.

However, for friends and family who have been asking for gift ideas, we’ve created a wedding fund. Half of the funds will go towards trees for our property; the other half will be donated to a local organization that supports the safety and wellbeing of our community.

Parents

We did our best to try and create an inclusive weekend, and kids are allowed and encouraged at the Welcome Party and at the wedding festivities at our property on Saturday. Unfortunately, no kids are allowed at the reception at Tetonia club. We have compiled a list of recommended babysitters below for parents to get a sitter for Saturday.

RSVP Info

The sooner you RSVP, the better, but please confirm your RSVP by June 10th at the latest. Please note if you are bringing a plus one, which is allowed, and if you are bringing kids. Thanks!!
